ACT Streetlite flywheel, which is considerably lighter than stock and is the most durable flywheel offering from ACT. Materials are properly distributed for maximum strength, lower inertia, good heat tolerance and rigidity. ACT's Streetlite flywheels are preferred for street or drag racing. ACT flywheels are serviceable and can be resurfaced with no need to purchase additional parts.

ACT's lightweight Streetlite Xact flywheels are designed to provide significantly improved engine response and acceleration at an affordable price. These flywheels offer maximum gear life--the gear will not fall off or wear out. Streetlite Xact flywheels feature long-lasting, heat-treated friction surfaces and excellent heat capacity by retaining adequate material behind the friction surface. These flywheels are made using a trouble-free, single-piece design and are SFI-certified to ensure safety.

Feel: Noticeably improved engine response and acceleration, OE to mild gear rattle;

Life: Heat-treated forging for strength and toughness, induction-hardened ring gears for maximum life;

Questions & Answers

Q Are ACT clutches balanced?

A Yes! All ACT clutch assemblies are computer spin balanced to within .25 oz-in to guarantee help smooth operation across the entire RPM range. For comparison, stock production clutches are typically balanced to within .50 oz-in. Lower is definitely better!

Q Will an ACT clutch increase pedal effort?

A ACT pressure plates are specifically designed to handle high torque applications. With ACT's durable design, expect an increase in pedal effort between 15-40% (Heavy Duty) and 50-80% (Xtreme), depending on the application. Clutches developed with less pedal effort often result in a lack of longevity

Q Do ACT clutches require a break in period?

A For organic street discs, we recommend breaking in the clutch for 300-500 miles with mild engagement, such as stop-and-go city driving prior to racing or spirited driving. ACT race discs usually only require a few hard slips to lap in the surfaces prior to normal driving or racing.

Q Are ACT clutches repairable or rebuildable?

A In some situations, rebuilds or repairs may be possible (see warranty), after inspection of the clutch assembly. Please contact our technical department for further information. Because of special modifications, we do not recommend servicing by a general clutch rebuilder.
